Our nation's capital II

Got back from visiting Grace, Ellie, & Jane down in DC over the weekend. I drove down on Friday afternoon and met up w/Jane at Ellie & Grace's apartment, which is very nice btw -- sunny w/high ceilings. Jane and I went to Mark's Duck House and had the Peking duck, an eggplant dish, and Cantonese-style seafood noodles for dinner. Afterwards, we went back to the apartment and watched Pride & Prejudice with Keira Knightley & Matthew McFadyen (my 4th time, but it was as good as ever).

On Saturday, Jane and I headed to Tyson's Corner after a hearty breakfast of omelettes & the leftover noodles while Grace & Danny ran errands and Ellie worked on her papers (3 were due Monday). I didn't get anything, but Jane found a nice leather bag for her laptop. We went to the Super H (Han Ah Reum) in Fairfax for lunch, where Jane got bibimbap and I had ja jang myun. Jane left around 3, and Grace & Danny took me to Danny's place to hang out until dinner. We met up w/Melody at Chez Mama San, a cute little Japanese homestyle restaurant in Georgetown, which is an ultra chic and yuppie part of DC.

Let's see ... Melody ordered the blue crab croquette, Danny had the orange roughy, Ellie had tempura, and Grace had the miso salmon. I ordered zosui, which is like muai (congee). Sorry, no detailed pics of the food. Everything was yummy, though, and the decor was very elegant/chic. For example, the bathroom was painted white with a heavily textured paint, and embedded in the paint were buttons and shards of pottery.
