Hoo-ah!
I watched Black Hawk Down last night. I was looking for a good flick w/lots of action & suspense, and it really delivered. (A cast full of hotties like Josh Hartnett, Ewan McGregor, and Orlando Bloom was just icing on the cake). Memorable quote by Sergeant Eversmann, played by Josh Hartnett, as he's paying his last respects to a friend who was KIA while protecting another soldier:
"I was talking to Blackburn the other day, and he asked me, 'What changed? Why're we going home?' And i said, 'Nothing.'
That's not really true, you know. I think everything's changed. I know I've changed.
You know a friend of mine asked me before i got here ... It was when we were all shipping out, he asked me, 'Why're you going to fight somebody else's war? What do you all think you're heroes?' I didn't know what to say at the time, but if he asked me again, I'd say no. I'd say, 'There's no way in hell. Nobody asks to be a hero. It just sometimes turns out that way.'"
Three weeks left at work and 12 until school starts. I've been running around taking care of medical appointments, and I'm starting to gather my stuff up. I went through all my books and took a bunch to the Half Price Bookstore in Montgomery today. They only paid 5% of the cover price for the ones they wanted, but they were giving twice that in store credit, so I took the store credit and got 3 travel guides -- ones to NYC, London, and Paris. With moiji going to Germany, I'd like to see Europe next year.

i bet ur excited about school. i'll have 2 come visit u next year up by 125th. at least u wont have 2 drive n e more.
i know how tedious those med apts can b on ur last nerve. good luck on all that waiting room time. did u read davinci code and angels and demons yet? i recommend the latter if ur trying 2 fill up that empty void of time.
Yeah, I felt like the pale yellow looked a bit old.
I am excited about school. Can't wait for it to start. But you're gonna have to come farther north than 125th. The medical campus is on 168th. I think I'm gonna miss driving. Certain songs just sound better when you're going 70 mph on the Turnpike.
I read Da Vinci Code a year ago. My dad gave me Angels & Demons, but I haven't read it yet. I heard it's better than DVC.
much better. A n D is really good. Davinci code the movie is disapointing if u read the book. i was a lil bummed i dropped 20 to see it. i heard that ppl that didnt read the book liked it tho.
Nice idea with this site its better than most of the rubbish I come across.
