The Fine Print

Dealing with instrument frustrations at work. While reading the warranty, I came across this:

"The warranty does not apply if the instrument has been damaged by accident, abuse, misuse, acts of God (?!), misapplication, the elements, failure of electrical power, the use of unauthorized parts or reagents, repairs by any person not authorized by the manufacturer, or unauthorized modification of the instrument."

Talk about thorough.
