Fa-la-la-la-laaa La-la-la-la

Just got back from my company's year-end celebration at the Westmount Country Club in West Paterson. We do this every year, so I'll cut to the chase. The food was yum-o, as Rachael Ray would say. Out of the smorgasbord laid out for us, I had:

Assorted sushi
Broccoli rabe
Clams (stuffed)
Diet coke
Eclair
Focaccia
Grape tomatoes
Horseradish sauce
Ice cream (pistachio)
Jambalaya
Kiwi
Luscious pineapple
Melons
Napoleon
Oysters
Prosciutto
sQuid (calamari)
Raspberries
Smoked mozzarella
Too much caffeine
Uncommonly large shrimp cocktail
Vegetable crudite
Whipped cream
eXcellent chocolate-raspberry cake
Yummy food
Zesty punch

Here's a story that Aki & GeoiseeFroggie will appreciate. After my meal, I went up to the buffet to get a palate-cleansing plate of fruit. While I was there, I noticed a platter of cheese cut into small pieces, so I took a few cubes of that as well. Back at my seat, I took a bite of the cheese and thought, "Wow, this isn't at all what I expected. It's so creamy and smooth ... maybe it's a soft cheese like Brie ... in fact, it's almost like ... butter." That's right--I had gotten 3 pats of butter! I think I'll be gaining a couple pounds this holiday season.

yum yum, you're making me hungry! speaking of "cheese," have you ever tried horseradish cheddar? it packs in quite a zing and tastes great on whole foods woven wheat crackers.

I've had pepperoni cheddar, and I've had the horseradish bacon dip @ the PA Dutch Farmer's Market. Both are muy yum.

Hm, I didn't get the scrub for myself, but now I gotta try it. The name was so clever ("Best-in-glow") and the idea of a sugar scrub just sounded so yummy.

siouxieQ is (or should be) in the throes of thesis writing and would rather mooch off muffinjr and moiji's blogs than make her own.

poor excuse, i know, but seriously, you're not missing out on much! your lives are much more interesting than mine. keep up the writing and cool pix!
