I was phished! : (
One of the 1st things I do when I stumble into work in the morning is check my Yahoo! mail. Today I had a message in my Bulk folder from eBay about how my account was going to be suspended b/c someone tried to hack into it. I clicked the link in the e-mail and was routed to a page where I "signed in" w/my User ID & password. Then they requested my credit card info. Luckily, I wise up @ that point, but I was super paranoid that someone was going to steal all of my personal info. I went to the real eBay website (the other one was obviously a fake b/c it was www.iebayi.com) and clicked around until I found info telling me what to do. I forwarded the fraudulent e-mail to the appropriate department, spoof@ebay.com , and then changed my passwords & security questions for eBay, Yahoo!, and Paypal. I was thinking about changing it for Blogger, too, but realized that probably very few ppl know about this site to begin with. : ) Then I went onto eBay's Live Help chat, where Crandall reassured me that I had done all that was necessary for the moment. I hope it's okay now. :: sigh :: Here's how not to fall for this ploy:

whoa, thats really scary. i prolly would just inputted all the info if it had been sent 2 me. i'm such a space cadet. i didnt even realize that my brothers car was a dead givaway for a surprise party.
I think the risk has gone down ... I got 2 suspicious e-mails from Paypal saying that my username doesn't correspond to the password anymore. Maybe someone tried to get in w/my old password, but I changed it for everything.
