All up in mah grill
Here is a rundown of events since I returned to work. I'm working on 3 projects, which I've numbered in order of preference.
Tuesday, July 7, 9:45 am
Boss comes up to me and initiates a 2-hour conversation about all the experiments I need to do for Project #3 and how I'm going to fit it into my workload.
Tuesday, July 7, 3:00 pm
A 2-hour team meeting for Project #3 begins. Bottom line: Project #3 is in limbo until I give them more information about the lead compound.
Tuesday, July 7, 5:00 pm
After the meeting, boss sees me in the lab and reminds me to do all those experiments for Project #3. Yeah. Got it.
Wednesday, July 8, 8:30 am
Boss asks me about a piece of data presented at the meeting yesterday. Proceeds to review all the work on my plate, which I have not touched yet.
Wednesday, July 8, 9:00 am
Team leader for Project #3 asks me about the same piece of data. Must explain everything to her, again. Still no work being done.
Wednesday, July 8, 12:00 pm
Finally got an assay for Project #2 running. Boss mentions an e-mail that was circulated about a new compound for Project #3. One more experiment to add to the endless list.
Conclusion: muffinjr has a lot of work to do.

wow, u r a busy busy bee. this project 3 must b really important 2 b getting so much attention from so many ppl. u must b a very important person 2 b assigned such a big project : )
Actually, Project #3 is low priority. The reason it's getting so much attention now is b/c we (I) neglected it for pretty much the first half of this year. But thanks for trying to make me feel better about it. :) >Thumbs up<
